Driven by its strong commitment to education and community development, Sefar Mexico has launched a renovation project at Las Americas Public Elementary School to provide students with a safe and inspiring learning environment.
At Sefar, social responsibility is more than a program—it’s a commitment to creating measurable impact. Through the Sefar Social Responsibility Fund (SSRF), we invest in projects that strengthen the communities where we operate. In Mexico, our team recently led the transformation of Las Americas Public Elementary School, renovating facilities, improving safety, and enhancing learning spaces. These upgrades directly benefit hundreds of students, educators, and families, reflecting our belief that sustainable change starts with action.
With an investment of USD 25,000, the project addressed long-standing infrastructure challenges, including deteriorated restrooms, leaky roofs, poor lighting, and worn-out classrooms. The renovation included new sanitary facilities, structural reinforcements, waterproofing, improved lighting, and freshly painted classrooms, all designed to foster dignity, safety, and enthusiasm for learning.

Dominique Christen and CEO Roland Reber joined the ceremonie.
During the ceremony, Ernesto Beltran shared his reflections: “I am deeply moved by what we have achieved together. This project shows how a focused effort and genuine commitment can make a meaningful difference in the lives of so many children. It is inspiring to see how much impact a donation like this can truly have.”
Words of gratitude were also shared by school and government representatives, parents, and teachers, who highlighted how the renovation has improved not only the physical conditions of the school but also the motivation, confidence, and well-being of the students.
An Inauguration Full of Meaning
The project was officially inaugurated during a ceremony attended by school authorities, representatives of the State Government, parents, students, and the Sefar delegation. The event featured a flag ceremony, a folkloric dance performed by students, and a guided tour of the renovated facilities.
Sefar leadership present at the event included Roland Reber, CEO, Dominique Christen, Chief Human Resources Officer, David Koebcke Head of Americas Region, Ernesto Beltrán, General Manager Mexico, Erika López, HR Manager Mexico, and Alejandro Bahena IT Manager Mexico.

Employees at the Heart of the Impact
Beyond infrastructure improvements, this initiative reflects Sefar's belief that education is the foundation of progress. Employees played an active role through volunteer efforts, knowledge sharing, and donations, contributing talks on safety, sustainability, and technology, as well as the donation and installation of equipment such as projectors.
These actions demonstrate that Sefar’s commitment goes beyond financial support, it is about offering time, expertise, and genuine care.
Building the Future Together
The transformation of Las Americas Public Elementary School represents more than renovated classrooms and improved facilities. It is a collective act of collaboration, empathy, and hope, a reminder that when companies, communities, and institutions come together, meaningful change is possible.
By investing in education, Sefar Mexico is investing in the future, helping build stronger communities and brighter opportunities for generations to come.
